These fabric doorstops are so easy to make and can be part filled with a weightier filling so your wise owl can hold back that annoying door or completely filled with woft wadding to toy stuffing to make a wise friend to hug : )
Standing 12 inches tall, they are made from a fat 1/4 of fabric (fat quarters sold for quilting and crafts are perfect). The pattern includes full instrutions with pics and tips, together with some alternative ideas you might like to try.
A handle makes for easy lifting and you can have fun getting creative with his felt features : )

Each doorstop owl will need:
Fat 1/4 colourful cotton fabric
Interfacing to stabilise and strengthen fabric (iron-on type is easiest)
cotton to match
Coloured felts for features and wings
Soft toy filling
Heavy weight filling: Steel shot (as used in bears), dried beans (these will need to be removed before washing) or another good cheap alternative is small gravel (sold in aquarium stores - clean throughly first)
