This is the download version of my pattern. It consists of instruction booklet in pdf format and 3 jpg pattern sheets.
Manilla stands 8 inches tall when made. He is five way jointed and dressed in a warm, baggy pair of trousers (just right for an elephant !)
His pattern will take you through cutting out to finishing touches with lots of pics and tips to help along the way. It also includes instructions for hand shading your elephant's face if you are happy wielding pencils as well as needles : ) I've included full sized pattern sheets and suggestions for making Manilla suitable for younger children by substituting safety eyes and joints.
Manilla is very happy made in any short pile fabric (cottons too). I've used a mini cord but he would look super in a short mohair or plush. If you are going to hand shade his features, I recommend a fairly light coloured fabric to make life easier.
His pattern includes instructions to make his (ahem!) fasionable trousers, bow tie and braces and, with a little alteration you could make a simple skirt for a charming lady elephant. go get creative !
