This elephant is such a sweet little character to sew.   She stands just 4 inches tall (10cm) when sewn  and is completely thread jointed.  
Her pattern has step by step instructions and includes making her simple skirt.  Magnolia can have glass or safety eyes depending upon who she is to join, both covered in her instructions. 
I love to make my elephants in a sparse mohair but she is equally happy in any short pile fur, or even simple cotton fabric.
